As the Founder of The Only Way Is Spirits, I get to do what I love! I set up the company in early 2020 on a mission to produce craft gins proud to be from Essex. My first gin launched in November 2020, and the range quickly expanded to include luxury Vodkas and Rums.
Prior to this I worked in corporate business with Tesco for many years. A life-changing surgical injury made me re-think my life, and here I am, running a spirits company!
My role now is very different as a start-up entrepreneur, but so many of the skills from my valuable and much-loved time at Tesco are transferrable.
Shaping the brand of the company, its values and culture was greatly helped by my experience as HR Business Partner. My leadership style is always values-based and I love developing successful teams and supporting people to grow in their roles, and I'm so excited to have now taken on a team.
I'm known for making courageous decisions, and setting up a business in the middle of a global pandemic, has certainly turned out to be one!
