This is an incredibly light chocolate sponge, which you will honestly not want to share. It is lovely on its own or with ice cream.

I have called this 'triple chocolate' because of the cocoa powder in the sponge, the chocolate chips in the sponge and the addition of a chocolate syrup on top of the cake. The ground almonds in the sponge mean it is soft as a cloud and a shot of espresso brings out the chocolate taste beautifully.
