Primarily used to spice up dishes such as soups/casseroles & stews but also used in a common Mauritian dish called La Daube.
The Mauritian Daube (Garam Masala) is a much more fragrant and aromatic blend of spices.
The spices work in harmony with each other so that one does not dominate the other.
It is such a versatile and easy blend to use.
It can be added to stocks, soups, stew and tagines.
In spite of it being called Garam Masala, Mauritian Garam Masala Spice Blend is different as one ingredient that does not dominate heavily in the Mauritian Garam Masala is cloves.
This makes it more palatable and versatile.
It is a perfect blend that is easily added to any dish towards the end or just sprinkled on the top and cooked through with other ingredients.
