I have been running the West Coast Cafe in St Annes in Lancashire for 5 years, with my husband Darrell. While he looks after the cafe, I bake cakes in the kitchen. I am very proud to say that I have won 2 Great Taste Awards from the Guild of Fine Foods - one for my bara brith fruit cake and one for chocolate orange protein balls, which I sell in the cafe. Because our customers in the cafe prefer healthy food, as we are located inside a gym, I don’t sell a great deal of cakes in the cafe. Which is why I set up my own website, so I could send my delicious bakes all over the UK.
I have now written two recipes books, full of recipes for sponge cakes, cheesecakes, cookies and desserts.
